England Thorns Vs Jamaican Suns – ‘What a Match’

On Wednesday 28 June 2023, Redbridge Sports & Leisure proudly hosted the first-ever men’s international netball match to be held in England.

The match was between the England Thorns and the Jamaican Suns.

Approximately 450 spectators enjoyed a party atmosphere beforehand with music, lively warm-ups, a professional introduction to the players individually and
The National Anthem for both Countries.

The match was competitive and thrilling with both teams displaying amazing athleticism and skill.

After four quarters of brilliant netball, the final score was 35-55 to the Jamaican Suns.   

Both teams move on to the 2nd and 3rd matches of the series, which will be held in Nottingham.
