Redbridge Sports & Leisure Welcomes New CEO at Informal Event

Redbridge Sports & Leisure proudly introduced its’ new Chief Executive Officer, Wayne Alexander, at an informal welcome event held this past Wednesday. The event marked a significant moment in the Centre’s history with Wayne Alexander taking over the leadership reins to guide the Centre into its next chapter of growth and success.

“It is an immense honour to step into this role, allowing me to build upon the outstanding achievements of my predecessor, Ken Leggate” said Wayne Alexander, addressing the attendees. The new CEO expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended the event and highlighted the collective commitment to strengthening existing partnerships and exploring new opportunities for the Centre.

Reflecting on the past four months serving as Interim CEO, Wayne Alexander shared how the overwhelming support from senior staff, key partners, and the Board made a challenging period both manageable and enjoyable. “I am deeply grateful for the incredible efforts of our Sports Manager and Business Manager, who took on additional responsibilities with exceptional dedication. Their support, along with the backing of my senior team, key partners, and the Board, has been instrumental in navigating this transition.”

As the Centre continues to uphold its legacy of providing top-quality sports and leisure facilities to the local community and beyond, Wayne Alexander emphasised the shared vision of the leadership team. “Together, I am confident that we will continue to build on the Centre’s successes, ensuring that our community has access to the best facilities and programmes.”

The event was an opportunity for key stakeholders and partners to engage with the new leadership and reinforce the strong community bonds that have been the foundation of Redbridge Sports Centre Trust Ltd throughout its 52 year history.
